Thanks to Joshua Harris, I found a great blog post on “How to Have Better Dinner Conversations.” Well, the information isn’t just about “dinner conversations”, but conversations in general and interacting with other human beings.
I think skills like these are invaluable, and although I can’t pinpoint one person or place where I learned this, the art of “asking questions” is one that I think nearly every person on Earth can get better at. As I think about it, most people end up on one end of the conversational spectrum: either they talk too much about themselves or they don’t talk much at all/don’t say anything and the only way they talk is if you hit them with a machine gun-like barrage of questions.
Let us also not forget, the importance of listening.
